I wonder if anyone has ever tallied the number of unusual sound effects used in comic books...
I know I've created a few of my own...
...But, as the host of this humble Blog, a certain sound effect from THE FLASH #168 (DC Comics, Cover Date: March, 1967) jumped out at me...
That includes YOU, Melvin!

Hey, I still think it's cool. Personally, I like blogging a lot better than Facebook or other forms of social media. I'd do it more often myself if I wasn't so... all together now... horrifically busy.

You must know that I agree with you, purely based on my not being on any social media.
Blogging may still be cool to us diehards, but the more recent lack of enthusiasm and response (present commenting-company excluded, of course) tells me that folks are finding their entertainment somewhere – and somehow – else.
I sometimes find it frustrating… being a fair and respectful voice among the rude and stridently opinionated… and regularly delivering content the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else... leading me to falter in my Blogging diligence at times.
But, I’m still here – be it shouting from my downtown corner soapbox, when everybody’s moved on to the mall – and then shouting from a near empty mall, when everybody’s moved to online shopping – and, even though I can occasionally “hear the echo of my own voice”, I continue to do this thing I do because…
…As I said above: “I’m just stubborn that way!”
Oh, and that there are a few people who still appreciate it – and I am grateful for them! Thank you!
…I’ll bet even The Flash doesn’t Blog anymore!
