What could possibly make a Christmas merrier than this video?
Okay, okay... any number of things involving peace, health, and prosperity... but you must admit that this rendition of "Jingle Bell Rock" by Averi and Cici might be near the top of whatever remains!
Merry Christmas 2024!

Ha ha, cute! Merry Christmas to you and yours, Joe!
The same to you JoeC! Glad to have delivered you some Christmas cheer!
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Joe! And Merry Christmas, everyone!
Lots of joy, happiness, peace, goodwill and blessings to you all - especially to all families, as this is a holiday celebrating a certain very special Family ;) And may the coming year be full of great comics to read and splendid stories to discover!
Here's a Christmas Tintin picture from me with best wishes - this is Hergé's holiday card from 1966 :)

Take care, y'all!
The same to you T.! Yes, “a certain very special Family” indeed! With that capital “F” expressing just how “very special”! Very good… and very clever! Thank you!
I can safely predict that 2025 WILL “be full of great comics to read and splendid stories to discover!” And that more of it will have my involvement than even I anticipated! More on that when I’m allowed to reveal it.
2024 was also such a year, given the ongoing Fantagraphics volumes, and new series for such old favorites as Jonny Quest, Space Ghost, DuckTales, Dick Tracy, Popeye, and Groo, all of which were added to my reading list this past year! Alas, 2024 ended on a sour note with the abrupt and unexpected ending of The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries… but there *will* be more additions (and, hopefully, fewer subtractions) to that list in 2025!
And (to intentionally paraphrase that classic Christmas salute), “To All of Us, From All of T.” HERE is Hergé's wonderful Tintin holiday card from my personal favorite year for enduring pop culture… 1966!
Delightful! At the Christmas party I attended yesterday I got to observe the daughter of a very good friend dancing to Beyonce's halftime show, and doing a better--and more tasteful--job of it than Beyonce! It's so fun when the young 'uns join in the holiday spirit! Avery looks like she is having a blast, and Cici is doing her best to keep up. Tres charmante!
I hope your Christmas was a good one and that you found a few goodies in your stocking! Of course, which such winning companionship, you don't need much more to make your Christmas merry! I look forward to watching Logan join in the fun as he gets bigger.
Comics reading--as usual. The Gold Key WD Christmas Parade series is as good as ever! I supplemented this year with the purchase of a copy of the 1949 Christmas Parade with the Walt Kelly cover. While I had about 85% of the content in reprint form elsewhere, it was still exciting to get a copy of that issue, which can sell for a fortune but in this case was a decent copy at a very reasonable price. So, it's been a Merry Christmas all around! Here's looking forward to a happy 2025!
Scarecrow:
For me, Christmas IS all about “the young ‘uns”! I had my memorable Christmases, and now it’s their turn!
Beyond the joys of Averi, Cici, and Logan, my own Christmas spirit is more centered around revisiting old Christmas comics and TV shows. I have no need of gifts, nor wish to put the holiday stress on anyone who might consider giving me one. Esther feels the same way. We are each other’s gift!
Oh, sure… when I was younger (“…so much younger than today”, as the song goes) I was far more hyped-up on Christmas than I am at this age… and I like it better this way. Easier on the nerves, you know!
Yes indeed, as you say, the Gold Key WD Christmas Parade series is as good as ever! Those things, not unlike the 1964 double-team of the original “Christmas Flintstone” (in animated AND comic book form) and Bewitched “A Vision of Sugar Plums”, came along at EXACTLY THE RIGHT TIME to have the maximum impact on me!
I somehow missed the first GKCP, which was all original content (got it later as an adult collector, of course), but had #2-6 (Christmas 1963 – Christmas 1967) as original newsstand purchases… and did those ever hit RIGHT! The quintet of Carl Barks Donald Duck stories in particular! Five straight Christmas seasons of forever-memories!
And heck, it’s only normal for you (or me) to upgrade your copies when finances allow – especially those which have the greatest meaning to you! Naturally, I keep my original purchases (or those “lower graders” first bought as a collector) right beside them!
I, too, am “looking forward to a happy 2025”… because I know a little about what’s coming, he says with a wink, and an optional nod!
