2013? Check and Double Check!

It’s 2013, do you know where your checkbook is?

If so, get it and do the following:

At the far end of the line where you write in the Date of the Check, enter:

-13 or -2013

Do this for the next 10-12 checks in the book, to prevent you from entering 2012 as the date, and possibly spoiling a check.

Make YOUR banker happy!

This helpful hint has been brought to you as a public service by TIAH Blog. More comics and DVD stuff coming up!

What's a check?

Um… Something you shouldn’t “write with your mouth”, that “some other part of your body” can’t cash?

A hard hit in Hockey? …Say, this year, what’s hockey?

Are you the one that with Chris Barat has written the book The Duck Tales index?

/Fredrik from Sweden.

Fredrik:

Yes, that’s me! If you’ve seen it, I hope you enjoyed it.

If not, I’ll answer the question that I often get – and that is that the index does not exist in a reproducible form, regrettably. As an alternative, Chris Barat is revisiting every episode of DuckTales at his Blog – and doing a magnificent job of it. If you haven’t already given it a look, I’d heartily recommend that you do so.

Thanks for the tip! I have not seen the book, unfortunately, wish I had it, I've only seen the Duck burg times #24/25 (episode 1-65)

But is it true that you gave out a real book (in America?) Which covered all 100 episodes? How many copies? How does it look like?

Thanks so much for your answers!

/Fredrik

Fredrik:

We covered all 100 episodes in a book that we self-published, back in 1992. The technology, such as we had back then, makes it impossible to reproduce the work today, alas.

There was no set number of copies, as Chris made them to-demand, using whatever resources were available to him at the time. I wish it were different, because people occasionally ask us about this, and I’d like to accommodate them, but can’t do.

Chris might have something additional to offer, if you question him at his Blog (link in my last comment), but I doubt it. I do wish there were something we could do about this. Sorry.
