As someone who has spent years shoveling snow for wives, girlfriends, and mothers, I can appreciate the gag Carl Barks offers us for the cover of WALT DISNEY’S COMICS AND STORIES # 138 (March, 1952)!
As Donald and the rest of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic dig out, enjoy this treat – suitably wrinkled and worn to its age!

Funny enough, I did have a passing thought to this particular cover and other Disney snowfall-related covers while Becky and I were out getting our cardio-aerobic workouts. But I think Becky, being a Michigan farm girl, falls more into the Grandma Duck-end of the snow removal realm, i.e a much more practical approach and a Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor enthusiasm for using the snow blower! More power!
We got over a foot here in Punxsutawney, but I'm ashamed to admit that the Mrs. and her dad did most of the shoveling as I'm still recovering from ruptured discs. :(
Joe,
We've hauled away over 4 feet of snow (adding up the two storms) and STILL can't get out of the driveway. "Mr. Plow" has yet to pay a visit to our street.
Chris
Guys – All of you:
Compared to your horror stories, I got off easy! Good luck to you all!
Joe.
