Life is Like a... Well, you know... (And Some Batman Stuff!)
...And, if you don't know, The Riddler has the answer above! ...Kinda!
Anyway, one o' those big-scary-windy-rainy-things is coming!
So, I'll see you all on the other side!
...Of the HURRICANE, that is!
Oh, did you know that the comic pictured above (BATMAN # 171 May, 1965) was the basis for the pilot episode of the 1966 Batman TV show -- "Hi Diddle Riddle / Smack in the Middle"?
Neither did Adam West and Frank Gorshin, until I showed it to them at a 1999 New York appearance!
They each were pleasantly surprised -- and autographed the comic for me!

Joe,
Good luck dealing with this! Right now, we have a "Tropical Storm Warning", but the first day of classes at Stevenson is already a casualty.
Chris
Joe,
Hope you guys are faring well! Hopefully, by tonight, when the storm's passed, we'll all resume and proceed with our lives pretty much as normal!
Ryan
As of 11 AM Sunday Morning… Lots of rain and wind, but nothing more serious than that! Thankfully!
But, I did discover an electrical fire at the end of the block – far enough away to be no danger to us… and reported it. Power line landed in a pile of wood, and started the blaze! No one home at the house in question, so glad I noticed it.
Looks like the worst is over!
Joe and Ryan,
The wind's still blowing outside, but the rain has passed. Only a few branches have fallen off trees, and (knock on wood) there have been no power outages longer than a second or two.
DE, NJ, and the eastern shore of MD appear to have fared much worse, but even there, it wasn't as bad as expected.
Chris
As I said on Chris' blog, glad to see you guys are okay!
Joe: By the way, not really surprised that West and Gorshin didn't know about that issue! ;)

Ryan:
The great thing about that moment was seeing the joyous (there’s no other word for it) recognition on Mr. West and Mr. Gorshin’s faces, as they thumbed through the issue. Even after all those years, they could pick out exactly what parts of the story were utilized for their show, as well as any fan could!
If I recall correctly, West even called Gorshin over to look at it, and the two of them did so together, shoulder to shoulder! Oh, how I wish I had a camera!
Oh, and West made sure to remind us all that he was beginning a new role (as “Adam West: Mayor of Quahog, Rhode Island”) on FAMILY GUY. A voicing role he plays to this day!
Joe.
