Oh, the ad was from REAL SCREEN COMICS # 35 (DC Comics, Cover Date: February, 1951), which was no slouch in the "howling department" itself!

Faunteroy Fox for… Mayor? Mayor of what? From my experience, Fox and Crow's ‘tree-houses’ seemed to stand in the middle of a wilderness, with the only other occasional presence in the vicinity being the Hound.
Maybe he’s a carpetbagger!
