Chia…WHO?
Saw this in the supermarket last night. Honestly, doesn’t this defeat the respective purposes of both “Chia” and Homer Simpson?
If anything, it reminds me of that moment in “The Rabbit of Seville”, when Bugs douses Elmer Fudd’s scalp with plant grower -- and grass and flowers sprout atop his head!
Elmer may not be heavily merchandised because his character is a pasty and a loser. Yosemite Sam may be the same, but he’s also tough, and ornery – and that somehow makes a difference. Just as Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin may be patsies as well, but their loutish behavior makes them, in some way, more fun. At least that’s MY theory.
Does Chia-Spongebob grow seaweed? Or, dare I say… er, “Plankton”?
Makes me glad there was never a Chia-Cheech and Chong!

Joe,
Looks as if "Chia Homer" is morphing into Disco Stu.

…Indeed, one wonders if that scene might have actually been the inspiration for “Chia Everything”.
There's a Chia Spongebob, Chia Scooby Doo, and a Chia Garfield as well.
Odd - there is no Chia Elmer Fudd, but I recall seeing a Chia Tazmanian Devil. Aside from "Wambo" t-shirts, Elmer merchandise is pretty rare.
