The Grandy-Man Can… and Does! Yankees 6, Tigers 3!

Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson continues his season-opening heroics (see THIS POST) with not one but TWO sterling defensive plays – and a tie-breaking home run, as the Yankees take their 2011 season opener 6-3 over the Detroit Tigers!

CC Sabathia had 6 innings and 3 runs, two of them earned, Mark Teixeira crushed a big three-run home run, Joba Chamberlain picked up the win in relief… and Mariano Rivera chalked up yet another save!

Let’s here it for the 1-0 New York Yankees.

I’m glad that the Yankees started their season with a victory. They have now won 13 of their last 14 home openers!
