From DC to Stan Lee!

Here's a fitting, classy, and DESERVED tribute to the great Stan Lee, from DC Comics!

Yes, very classy, being from the competition!

Another in-comics tribute I really appreciated this past year was the four-page one to Steve Ditko in the August issues of several Marvel comics associated with Ditko, including Amazing Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Hulk and Squirrel Girl. Since many people think that "Spider-Man was created by Stan Lee," period, I was particularly happy to see this extensive tribute. I'm 3000 miles away from my comics at the moment, or I'd try to scan it for you....

DC was almost always “classy” – in matters that were public-facing at least. Marvel in the ‘90s, not so much. Image not at all… EVER!

I’m very pleased to see that Marvel has “grown up” since the days of Bill Jemas… no doubt due to the Disney influence! Would that all publishers of fresh and modern material conducted themselves with similar class in their public-facing advertising efforts.

If you are able to get me an image of that Ditko tribute, I’ll add it to this post! Post-3,000 mile return trip, of course!
