See You in September?

Coming, this September, from the writer who gave you…

Captain Retro-Duck…

…And Bad Goat Jokes…

…Is… Is…

...Um, nothing!

Not this month anyway!

Yeah, Donald... I know!  Don't take it so hard!

But, don’t think I’m leaving you to take… “the Fall” alone!

October will see “Mummy Fearest”, in UNCLE SCROOGE # 7 – with a welcome cover from William Van Horn…

…And, November will bring “Plan Dine From Outer Space” in MICKEY MOUSE # 6!

Meanwhile, we’ll talk lots of comics and other interesting stuff over the next 30 days.  And IDW will have another great month of Disney comics, as they always do.  We’ll be here for all of it!

...And we'll be just as happy as they are!

It’s hard to keep track of when a new Disney comic is in sale, the release dates keeps being changed. I use to write down the date in a calendar every time a new Previews catalog is released. But more than half of my notes on the calendar have a strikethrough. According to my notes both Uncle Scrooge #6 and Donald Duck #5 were supposed to be on sale this Wednesday (Sep, 2) but now the date is "TBD"

The best thing to do is to visit THIS SITE (New Comic Book Releases List) weekly. That’s how I keep track of the releases.

Man, is that Halloween Uncle Scrooge cover is odd. So Scrooge would go to a bank hoping he will get money for free? It would made more sense with the Beagle Boys but it's so odd with Scrooge it's just makes it more funny...

I think that, if there still were a BEAGLE BOYS comic, as back in the Gold Key days, that would probably be a good cover gag for it.

But, I’d say it works very well for Scrooge too – especially the “Italian Version” of Scrooge that we tend to see at IDW, who often tends to be more emotionally childish than the Barksian original.
