Oh, The Places Huck’s Been!

Someone actually strung together lots of OPENING NARRATIONS to Huckleberry Hound cartoons, indicating location and subject matter. Both of which was as varied in the Huckleberry Hound series, as it got in short animation!

It’s actually fun to watch and, since an overwhelming workload has prevented regular Blog posting of late, sit back and enjoy Don Messick, Daws Butler, Hal Smith, and Doug Young, as they take you on The Great Huck Hound Tour.

Besides, it just wouldn’t be TIAH Blog, without a visit from Huck, would it?

It's nice to see someone has compiled a "This picture is dedicated to..." list of Huck openings. I'd have to check, but I think Warren Foster wrote most of them.

Welcome aboard!

As I have always understood it, Joe Barbera wrote the first season (1958-1959) though dialogue may have been credited to Charles Shows, and Warren Foster wrote seasons 2-4.

Yes, this was a nice piece, and kudos to the person who took the time to put it together.

I didn't realize that so many different folks did these opening narrations! I wonder why.
